Computer History

I bet when you think of computers you think of a device that you can almost do everything and anything you need, whenever you want… but actually that was really only possible in 1990 when the very first search engine was born. Prior to that, in 1300 BC in China a calculating device called the Abacus (Aa-Bu-Cus) was made. The Abacus, also called the Counting Frame, was a calculating tool that was developed and used in East Europe, China and Russia. The Abacus was invented in China around 1300 BC and it is still in use today, 3320 years in the future. Around 1150 years later in 150-100 BC a Greek tool called the Antikythera Mechanism let you tell what season it was. But Greek people mostly used it to predict astronomical positions and eclipses.

That’s cool isn’t it, over 2000 years ago people were able to tell the four seasons with an ancient computer.
